The Kaspersky Internet Security Suite 2010 offers rock solid protection and includes a list of features that take system security to a whole new level. The applications protection is split into three major components, which consists of Files and Private Data, System and Applications and Online activity. Each component is further subdivided giving you a total of twelve diverse security features. This is helpful if there is a need to make changes to a particular given component, thereby allowing the user to make quick and define changes.



The all new redesigned interface is slick and easier to use when compared to their previous version. For example, the new Application Control allows the user to change access rights to a particular application without getting into the complexities of the program’s settings. The application control feature basically prevents particular programs from performing actions that might compromise the overall stability of the OS.

An additional feature included in the suite is the Safe Run mode. This mode allows you to run as well as install applications in a virtual protected environment that prevents any sort of alteration to the registry as well as thwarts any sort of modification to the Operating System. Bear in mind that simply adding applications to the Sandbox window will not run it in the Sandboxed mode. You will need to run the selected application from the ‘Safe Run Application’ window for it to run in a secure virtual environment.Sadly even with all the right ingredients, the Security Suite doesn’t quite impress with its insane 200 MB of memory consumption when running a scan.
